The Salesman Curse
Whenever you walk into somewhere and are looking to buy something that is going to cost you some serious money like the Audi R8 or a brand new cooker or perhaps even a new HD television, is it just me or are all the salesmen always trying to get you to buy the most expensive thing out there and they will never, ever take no for an answer.
So let’s look into what kind of salesman is the worst out there.
Electronic Store
It really depends on what you are after but unless you are buying something quick like a computer game then you will usually find someone running up to you the second you get in the door because even this people tend to get commission on the things that they sell you. Most of the time it will be a very arrogant, white, early 20 something guy or an foreign guy that you cannot understand even if you were from his country.
Then they will always think that you are stupid and know nothing about the product you have come in to buy which is why they will always offer you the most expensive packages out there. Of course if you are like me and know quite a lot about the HD telly’s and Games consoles they haven’t a chance in hell which is why it is so amusing to look at their faces when you shoot them down or know more than them (in the case of games consoles).
I in fact once walked into Game to hear the question, “When is the Xbox 360 out”, to my amazement the guy behind the till said, “Let me go and check with the manger”. I immediately interjected with the correct answer which is why, when I was at a store selling games in my earlier years I waited to be asked rather than approach people for no good reason.
